When planning my little guys 1st birthday, I wanted it be have great colours, simple design but with a modern flare. So, I called up my good friend Magda Czerny. Her company’s name is Oh So Chic Celebrations and her work is exquisite. I chose the colours blue, red and white with an elephant and a red ballon because I thought they complemented each other really well. Magda then showed me a piece of fabric she purchased, chevron pattern, and the theme was set.
The party was outdoor in June. I had a tent for people sit in while they ate their food. We had a play yard next to the tent with swings and a slide for the kids to play while their parents socialized. We also had a lounge outside the tent with sofas and a coffee table as another place for people to sit and relax. The adults received an elephant cookie, while the kids received loot bags. There were 12 photos of Julian, 1 for each month, hanging on top of the gift table. The seating cards hung outside the tent for the guests and the tables were named after Julian’s favourite cartoons at the time. All the kids from ages 3-9 sat together at their own table with place mats and crayons. The placemats where designed with animals, games and the layout of the plate and utensils. I wanted them to have an activity while they waited for their parents to prepare their food. We also had a bar with signature drinks and music.
Here are some photos from that magical day!
